Redskins tight end Fred Davis has torn Achilles
2012
Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis left Sunday's game against the New York Giants with a little over two minutes to play in the first quarter after suffering an apparent Achilles injury.

According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, Davis' 2012 season is over as he has a torn Achilles tendon, a diagnosis that was confirmed after the game by head coach Mike Shanahan.
Shanahan confirms Davis torn Achilles. Done for season.

Davis was Robert Griffin's preferred target this season, entering Sunday as the Redskins' leader in targets (31), receptions (23) and receiving yards (312). Davis caught one pass for 13 yards prior to his injury. The injury is also a big blow to the Redskins' ground game as the 2008 second-round pick out of USC has worked hard to improve his blocking.
As evidenced in Week 7 by Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs, a torn Achilles tendon isn't necessarily a career-ending, or even career-threatening, injury. For Davis, though, this injury could not have come at a worse time. Davis is earning a fully guaranteed base salary of $5.446 million under the franchise tag, but is not guaranteed anything beyond this season.
At a cost of $6.535 million in 2013 (via a mandatory 20 percent increase), the Redskins are unlikely to use the franchise tag on Davis again next offseason and a season-ending injury less than a year after his 2011 season came to an end because of a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy will hurt Davis' value on the free-agent market.

Ahmad Bradshaw, Terrell Suggs, Jonathan Vilma are active in Week 7
2012
As initially reported by Kim Jones of the NFL Network and WFAN, New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw is active and will start today against the Washington Redskins. Bradshaw is 11th in the NFL with 449 yards entering Sunday, but has been very productive in the last two weeks, rushing for 316 yards and two touchdowns in wins over the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers. Bradshaw has been hampered by foot injuries during his career and claimed to have had his foot stepped on during last Sunday's 26-3 win over the 49ers. Bradshaw missed practice on Wednesday and Friday and was listed as "questionable" on the official injury report, but will be a go against the Redskins.
Other injury situations Shutdown Corner was monitoring this weekend included New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant and Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs, both of whom were forced to miss the first six weeks of the regular season while dealing with injuries that landed them on reserve lists.
Graham, who was "questionable" with an ankle injury, was downgraded to "out" on Saturday.
I would trade anything to be with the guys on the field today. Good luck and bring home the win.

Bryant tested his groin and will play against the Carolina Panthers, while Suggs was activated off the "Reserve/Non-Football Injury" list on Saturday and will play in a limited role against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
