Luongo gets a day to rest

The Sports Xchange reports Roberto Luongo's long, strange week took another surprising twist in Ottawa on Thursday night. Pulled after three first-period goals in Toronto Saturday and criticized for allegedly throwing his defensemen under the bus after another sub-par performance in a 3-2 loss in his hometown of Montreal on Tuesday, Luongo found himself watching from the bench as Andrew Raycroft started in a 3-1 loss to the Senators. The Canucks insisted their captain wasn't hurt and Luongo would be back between the pipes for a matinee in Boston on Saturday. But it's clear his play has slipped in recent weeks, so perhaps a rest is needed. "Roberto is fine in the sense that he's healthy.
