Jones crashes into wall, leaves

Orioles CF Adam Jones left Tuesday's game against the Red Sox as he didn't come out in the field before the top of the 3rd inning. Jones slammed into the wall in center trying to catch Kevin Youkilis' home run ball and apparently hurt himself. He stayed in the game after crashing to the ground. Jones grounded out in the bottom of the inning but left shortly after. Jones left for precautionary reasons, reports the MASN broadcast of the game. He is day to day. Read More

Kotchman hit in shin, leaves

Braves 1B Casey Kotchman left Saturday's game against Arizona in the fourth inning after he was hit in the right shin four pitches after Garret Anderson's home run. Arizona SP Max Scherzer was also pulled from the game after the play. X-rays on Kotchman's shin were negative and he's listed as day-to-day. Read More

Capps gets hit in elbow, leaves

Pirates closer Matt Capps was struck on his pitching elbow by a line drive Monday night and taken to a hospital for X-rays. After Geovany Soto's shot up the middle hit Capps with one out in the ninth inning, the 25-year-old right-hander experienced some numbness and tingling. Although Capps said his range of motion was better by the end of the game, the team's medical staff still sent him to the hospital.
