Tigers minor leaguer Danny Worth left Wednesday’s game for Triple-A Toledo in the top of the fourth inning due to a bruise on his left heel suffered earlier in the game, MLive.com reports.
He’s being called day to day.
“He’s got a little bruise on his heel,” Toledo manager Phil Nevin said. “He should be fine. Maybe just take a day (Thursday).”
Worth has not hit well for Toledo thus far. He’s batting .136 with 14 strikeouts over 46 at-bats for the Mud Hens. He was 0 for 1 before leaving Wednesday.
