Ryan Braun past neck injury

Despite going 0 for 5 with a career-high four strikeouts on Tuesday night, Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel on Wednesday that his lingering neck injury is no longer an issue. His missed three games earlier in the year due to neck pains.

“My neck’s fine now,” he said. “It was messed up for a while. Those first couple games in St. Louis I’m sure didn’t help, but it’s definitely not an issue any more. Swing just sucks. It happens.”

Braun entered Wednesday’s contest against the Giants batting .286 (10 for 35) with two homers and eight RBI through nine games.
