Forward Maxim Afinogenov missed his 24th consecutive game with a groin strain Saturday night, according to the Buffalo News. Though he is on injured reserve, Afinogenov insists he has been ready to go since the middle of February, but the Sabres would have to make a roster move to clear room for him.
