Would you make this trade

I am in an 18 team keeper league. We play APBA and keep 37 players each from year to year. I am considering trading Johan Santana for Dustin Pedroia and the other owner's number 1 draft choice this year. With that pick I would hope to pick up a prospect like Maybin or Upton. Any opinions.

I don't think I make that trade. While in such a deep league, top draft picks are nice you still need to keep in mind that you only start you 15 or 16 players each week. Deep roster make guys like Santana that much more valuable. Unless there are some sure fire guys in the draft I'd stand pat.
