Jeff Clement will likely be optioned to the minors once Steve Pearce is activated from the DL, which is expected to come early next week, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Our View
Clement has shown a bit of pop this season with five home runs but has hit .189 with just nine runs and nine RBI over 127 at-bats this season, not to mention 34 strikeouts compared to six walks. It's time to give up on him in case you hadn't already done so.
