Cardinals OF Matt Holliday was not in the starting lineup for Game 3 of the NLDS against the Phillies on Tuesday due to his finger injury but he was able to pinch-hit. He came up in the ninth inning with one on and one out and delivered a pinch-hit single. He was then removed for a pinch-runner. Holliday has been able to pinch-hit twice in the series.
