Lions remain unsure with Young

According to mlive.com, Lions general manager Martin Mayhew remained noncommittal on receiver Titus Young returning to the team in 2013. “You know what? I think it’s hard to say right now,” Mayhew said. “There’s a lot of time between now and when he has to come back. I think there’s a lot that needs to happen between now and then. We’ll decide that at the appropriate time, but we haven’t decided that at this point. I think it has to be the right situation for him and for us. We’ll have to decide if that’s what it is.” Mayhew did say he would like to have Young’s situation resolved before this year’s NFL Draft. Young was first dismissed after he sucker-punched teammate Louis Delmas during offseason workouts early last season. He was sent home a second time after sabotaging plays when he intentionally lined up in the wrong position during a loss against Green Bay. Young was eventually allowed back and sent home a third time when his bad attitude never changed. He was later placed on injured reserve due to severe tendinitis in his knee.
