Derrick Robinson bothered by shoulder injury

Reds outfielder Derrick Robinson was held out of the starting lineup Saturday against the Pirates as he continues to be bothered by a left shoulder injury, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Robinson, who routinely plays Saturdays, slid into home plate in an attempt at an inside-the-park home run July 9 at Milwaukee. He has played in four games since the injury and is hitting .222 (2 for 9) with a walk.

“I try to tell these guys, and all kids, no head-first slides into home plate,” Baker said.
