Mets third baseman David Wright was riding an eight-game homerless streak Thursday against the Braves, so he decided to make up for a bit of lost time.
Wright went deep twice in the game, both solo shots, in a 4-3 win. He added another single to finished 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBI.
Wright raised his batting average back over .300 to .304, and he now has 11 home runs and 38 RBI on the season. He also has a .903 OPS in 257 at-bats, his best total since 2008.
