  • Adrian Beltre (3B-SEA)

Third baseman Adrian Beltre goes into the Rangers series with a season-best 13-game hitting streak, just four shy of his career high. He is batting a robust .472 (25-for-53), scored 14 runs, hit five home runs and driven in 11 runs during the streak. His 25 home runs are one shy of his single-season high with Seattle (26 last season), but light years away from his career high of 48 with the Dodgers in 2004

  • Mike Morse (1B-SEA)

More than five months after suffering a serious shoulder injury while diving for a ball in right field at Safeco Field, Morse returns to game action next week at the Mariners' instructional league in Peoria, Ariz. -- his days as an outfielder probably behind him forever. He will spend the early part of the instructional league as the designated hitter and then get some playing time in the infield, specifically at first base, which could be the best place for him going forward.

  • Brandon Morrow (P-SEA)

Morrow, who took a no-hitter into the eighth inning on Friday, is holding opposing hitters to a .127 batting average this season, which would be the lowest in club history.

  • Raul Ibanez (OF-SEA)

Raul Ibanez reached the 100-RBI mark for the third consecutive season on Saturday night with a three-run home run in the sixth inning, giving the Mariners a one-run lead. He added his 101st two innings later.

  • Yuniesky Betancourt (SS-SEA)

All six of shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt's home runs this season are solo shots.

  • Erik Bedard (P-SEA)

Left-hander Erik Bedard threw off a mound on Friday for the first time since going on the disabled list on July 5. Manager Jim Riggleman said the session went well, but it's still unlikely that Bedard would be ready to pitch the remainder of this season.

  • Carlos Silva (P-SEA)

Mariners pitcher Carlos Silva was scratched from his start against the New York Yankees because of stiffness in his back.

  • Jeff Clement (DH-SEA)

The Seattle Mariners announced on Saturday that catcher Jeff Clement will undergo season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The procedure will take place on Tuesday. Clement hit .227 in 203 at-bats with five home runs and 23 RBI.

  • Luis Cruz (IF-PIT)

Luis Cruz, whose misplay on a line drive turned into a controversial double play on Saturday, had his left wrist wrapped and was getting electrical stimulation treatment on the area Sunday morning.

  • Robinson Diaz (C-PIT)

Diaz had his first appearance with the Pirates. First Major League start at catcher. First Major League hit. First Major League stolen base. First Major League RBI.
