  • Chien-Ming Wang (P-NYY)

Wang will have the cast removed by the end of the month. He probably won't return until late September. Wang did say that the foot feels "better" and he's getting "very bored" with so much inactivity.

  • Garret Anderson (OF/DH-LAA)

Anderson went 4-for-4 with his ninth home run and five RBI against the Red Sox last night. The Angels won, 11-3. He led the offensive charge with an RBI single in the first inning, a solo home run in the fourth, an RBI single in the fifth, and a two-run single in the sixth. Hitting sixth in the batting order, he has delivered 14 RBI in his past 11 games.

  • John Lackey (P-LAA)

Lackey (7-2) went seven innings to claim the 11-3 win over the Red Sox last night. He held them to five hits and three earned runs while striking out six -- including career whiff No. 1,000.

  • Mike Napoli (C-LAA)

Napoli took some swings during batting practice on Friday at Angel Stadium to test his inflamed right shoulder. He had not performed any baseball activities since going on the disabled list retroactive to July 6. He said, "Everything felt good. There was no pain today when I was swinging. In a couple more days I'll throw, and we'll see how that goes." He can come off the DL on Monday.

  • Brad Lidge (P-PHI)

Brad Lidge did not need to warm-up 6 times before entering the game Friday. Lidge came on in the 9th to preserve the win and record his 21st save. Lidge faced three batters, struck out 1 and lowered his ERA to 1.10 on the season.

  • Jon Garland (P-LAA)

Garland had his start for today pushed forward to Sunday because of a stiff neck. He said, "I woke up yesterday and it was hard to turn my head. I couldn't tell you the last time it happened, actually. I don't know if I did something the day before or if I tweaked it and didn't feel it until yesterday or what. But we're good and I'll be ready to go." He has yet to miss a start this season and said that he benefited from the four-day All-Star break.

  • Jamie Moyer (P-PHI)

Jamie Moyer does what he does best...beat the Marlins. Moyer improved to 10-0 lifetime versus Florida by limiting them to 2 ER on 4 hits while striking out 3 in 6 innings. Moyer, 9-6 with a 3.90 ERA, will look for win #10 next week at New York.

  • Geoff Jenkins (OF-PHI)

Geoff Jenkins got his second half off to a nice start Friday. Jenkins went 2-3 with a HR, 2 rbi's and a run scored to help defeat the Marlins. Jenkins has 8 HR's, 26 rbi's and is batting .243 on the season.

  • Ryan Howard (1B-PHI)

Ryan Howard was back at it again. Howard went 1-3 Friday with another HR, rbi and run scored to help defeat the Fish in Florida. Howard now has 29 HR's and 85 rbi's and is batting .234 on the season.

  • Chase Utley (2B-PHI)

NL All-Star Chase Utley got the second half off to a good start Friday. Utley went 2-3 with an rbi in a win over the Marlins. Utley has 70 rbi's and is batting .294 on the season.
