GNUru Stock Tracker: The Movers and Flakers

As teams are getting ready to break camp, job are being secured, roles are being defined, and even others are getting demoted all the way down to triple-A.  With less than a week to opening day, here is the GNUru's Top 10 movers and flakers.

Movin' On Up

1.  Jonathan Papelbon

Many drafted him as a starter on the cheap and are now reaping the rewards of a top 5 closer!

Adam Wainwright

2.  Adam Wainwright

Looked great this spring and could become a top 25 SP (that is if the Cardinals can score some runs for him)

3. Josh Hamilton

Once a big-time prospect, Hamilton will get his chance with a banged up Reds outfield.

4.  Khalil Greene

He's healthy and had a great spring- could be a breakout in the making..

5.  Jorge Julio

A trade to Florida has resurrected his fantasy utility.

6.  Alex Gordon

He earned the job as the everyday KC 3B...now can he live up to the hype?

7.  Zack Greinke

Zack is back..from the dead that is.  21 K's in 19 innings makes him worth consideration.

8.  Armando Benitez

A nice spring and the SF job...lack of run production will give him plenty of opportunities.

9. Troy Tulowitzki

He's being over-hyped but at least he earned the job over Clint Barmes.

10.  Mike Pelfrey

Solid spring earns him a spot in the rotation but lack of K's is troublesome.

Sliding on down to the Westside

1.  Kerry Prior...err Mark Wood

You get the idea..promising young arms won't even make the opening day roster.

2. Gavin Floyd

Can you say washed up?

3.  Clint Barmes

Clint needs to get himself a jobby job.

4.  Joel Pineiro

Those that took a flier on Pinero, have Pinero (a has been with no clear role).

5.  Cliff Floyd

Lou Pinnela seems to have fallen for the red head in left field (Matt Murton) and Floyd won't get any veteran slack.

6.  Hayden Penn

1.80 Spring ERA and still didn't make the team...looks like Leo is tough to please.  Penn will need to harness his control first.

7.  Any Marlins Bullpen guy (Henry Owens, Matt Lindstrom)

Looks like journeyman closer Jorge Julio will block their path.

8.  Toby Hall

Sleeper catcher out for the year..ouch!

9.  Jorge Sosa

Big time arm get sent to triple-A..ut oh better get Maaco!

10. Andy LaRoche

Awful spring gets him more Abs in AAA.
