By the time the 2nd period was over on Wednesday night against the Maple Leafs, Philadelphia G Martin Biron had already allowed three goals and was promptly removed from the game for Antero Niittymaki, who finished the rest of the game without further goals allowed. Biron stopped 25 shots in 33 minutes on the ice before being pulled in the 3-2 loss.
