Wolves will likely trade Rubio

The News

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, there seems to be very little doubt that the Minnesota Timberwolves plan to trade the rights to Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio. Rubio was selected fifth overall by the team in this year's draft.

Our View

Rubio doesn't really want to play in Minnesota, and the T-Wolves looks set at point guard with rookie Johnny Flynn and free agent Ramon Sessions. It will be interesting to see what kind of leverage the team has in trade talks, but they should still find themselves in a pretty good position when they do make a move. The Knicks figure to get back in play here at some point.
