Yankees call up OF Curtis from Triple-A (AP)

The New York Yankees have called up outfielder Colin Curtis from Triple-A Scranton and designated catcher Chad Moeller for assignment. Curtis hit .280 in 35 games with Scranton. Manager Joe Girardi, speaking before the Yankees opened a three-game interleague series at Arizona, said Curtis can play all three outfield positions and gives the team another left-handed bat off the bench.
