The Rays have optioned Justin Ruggiano to Triple-A Durham, according to MLB.com.
Our View
With Justin Bartlett getting activated from the DL, Ruggiano was no longer needed. The Rays' middle infield is too jam-packed to think that Ruggiano will have an opportunity to make an impact in the majors at any point this season.
