The Phillies have placed Placido Polanco (elbow) on the 15-day DL today, according to MLB.com's Todd Zolecki.
Our View
Polanco was hoping to return to action for the Phillies today, but it looks like that clearly will not be the case. With Chase Utley headed to the DL as well, you can expect Juan Castro and Wilson Valdez to see plenty of playing time until Polanco and Utley are back.
