Chris Carter will be headed from the Red Sox to the Mets as part of the Billy Wagner deal, according to the Boston Herald. The other undisclosed prospect going to New York is "not of significance."
Our View
Carter is batting .279 with 14 homers and 59 RBI with Triple-A Pawtucket this season, and the Mets could promote him to provide needed depth in the outfield and first base.
