Posted in Fantasy Hockey by SlapShot 45 days ago (http://ownersedge.fanball.com)
The News TSN reports that winger Mike Brown was traded from the Ducks to the Maple Leafs for their fifth round pick on Saturday. The Ducks then selected Christopher Wagner of the EJCL. Our View Brown doesn't score many points, but he did manage 106 penalty minutes in 75 games last season. The Maple Leafs feel good about their current prospects and needed to add a player who could contribute to the team immediately. Still, Brown holds very little fantasy value.

Spezza has a no-movement clause in his contract that kicks in on July 1. Our View Spezza probably can't be happy that his GM readily admits that he was trying to trade him, but he'll likely suit up for Ottawa again next season. In 60 games last year he piled up 57 points, including 24 on the power play. 13.9 percent of his shots reached the back of the net.
