Mike Singletary claims that he never thought about pulling Alex Smith from the 49ers' eventual loss on Sunday, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Our View
Alex Smith's job is safe for now, but the 49ers are 0-4, and a few more losses could mean a switch to fellow former No. 1 overall pick David Carr. If Smith doesn't turn things around soon, he may never get another start at a starting job.
