According to Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger, Ramses Barden will not require surgery to correct a stress fracture in his lower back.
Our View
With coach Tom Coughlin saying that Barden's return date depends on the receiver's ability to tolerate pain, we can assume that this won't be going away anytime soon. He's got a shot to resume practicing as early as next week, but he'll need to be 100 percent to beat out Mario Manningham or Victor Cruz for No. 3 receiver duties.
