Chargers RB Ryan Mathews will likely get between 10 and 15 carries during Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys and up to 20 carries against the Saints in the third preseason game. Philip Rivers believes that the addition of Mathews will make for a more balanced offense. “That is what we have always tried to be,” Rivers said. “I think it has been driven from the outside more than it has been from the inside that we are trying to be a passing offense.”
