Updating an earlier item, Eli Manning received 12 stitches in his head after cutting it during Monday's preseason opener against the Jets, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.

Manning had blood pouring out of his forehead, but the injury looked a lot worse than it actually was. He downplayed it heavily following the game saying he felt like he could play again right away. He won't miss any time. Interestingly, he took responsibility for the miscommunication that caused the accident, letting Brandon Jacobs off the hook on an unimpressive night.
