The NFL has suspended Jonathan Babineaux for one game for violating the league's policy and program for substance abuse, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Our View
Babineaux was punished for receiving three misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession. It remains to be seen if he'll appeal the decision, but it sounds like he'll be out for Week 1 this season. He'll lose $260,000 as a result, as that is the value of one game check for his $2.2 million base salary.
