Sunday's contest against the Nuggets marked the final game of Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo’s 10-game suspension by the NBA for violating the league and player union’s anti-drug program. Mayo tested positively for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which he believed was in an energy drink he bought from a gas station. In his absence, the Grizzlies have gone 7-2 with Sam Young entrenching himself in the starting lineup, backed up by Tony Allen. Coach Lionel Hollins said it will be up to Mayo to fit in with the team when he returns. “The team is not static,” Hollins said. “It’s fluid. It’s changing consistently and constantly. Trying to find out where the team is trying to catch up to that rhythm is going to be pivotal.”
