The Hornets will name Trail Blazers assistant Monty Williams as their new head coach this Tuesday, according to Oregonian.

The club's first choice for the job was Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau, but he spurned the Hornets to coach the Bulls. Williams, who played in the NBA from 1994-2003, has never before been a head coach.
