The Houston Chronicle reports that new Rockets guard Jonny Flynn, who was traded from Minnesota to Houston, has great confidence about succeeding with his new team. Flynn, the sixth player chosen in the 2009 draft, will have to compete for playing time behind Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic. Even with the acquisition of Flynn, the Rockets will pick up their option on Dragic’s contract next week, a person familiar with the decision said Friday. “You always have something to prove,” Flynn said. “I have a chip on my shoulder the size of a golden nugget. Knowing what type of player I am and what type of player I have the potential to be, to get that second chance, I’m definitely going to make the best out of it and show people the player that I am. I don’t think people really saw the player that I was in Minnesota due to a lot of things.”
