Reds SP Edinson Volquez endured the shortest outing of his career in Monday's 11-2 loss to the Giants. Volquez lasted just two-thirds of an inning and surrendered five runs on five hits. Aubrey Huff hit a two-run double off the center field wall after Andres Torres drew a leadoff walk and Buster Posey reached on an infield single. Pat Burrell followed with a double to score Huff, prompting a mound visit by Reds pitching coach Bryan Price. Volquez threw a wild pitch two pitches later that sent Burrell to third. After Jose Guillen struck out, Pablo Sandoval hit an RBI single. Juan Uribe walked and Freddy Sanchez doubled home Sandoval.
