MLB.com reports that Tigers manager Jim Leyland will not make Justin Verlander available to pitch in relief during Thursday's deciding Game 5 of the ALDS at the Yankees. Verlander most recently pitched as the starter of Game 3, allowing four runs over eight innings while picking up the win. Doug Fister is the Tigers' scheduled starter for Game 5.
