Cubs 3B Aramis Ramirez missed his second straight game on Tuesday in Milwaukee and could be headed for the disabled list, reports MLB.com. Batting .168 on the season as he's been bothered by a sore left thumb, the Cubs believe he needs to get healthy to turn his season around. "[The thumb] bothers him from time to time," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said. "I think regarding that situation, rather than milking it along, [he could go on the DL and] possibly get it 100 percent well, but we'll see." The Cubs started Mike Fontenot at third on Tuesday and could recall Chad A. Tracy to play there when and if Ramirez goes on the DL. "Until we decide what to do, there's no sense in any speculation," Piniella said.
