Jeff Niemann was brilliant on Tuesday, firing a two-hit shutout as the Rays easily dispatched the Blue Jays 9-0.
Our View
Niemann is now a perfect 6-0 on the season and the fabulous outing lowered his ERA to 2.48 on the year. The shutout was his first of 2010 (third career) and the only players to reach base did so on two singles and a walk. He fanned six and bounced back nicely from his worst outing of the season on June 1st when he allowed five runs over 6.1 innings.
