Colorado's Jose Lopez has to prove to the Rockies that he can be their everyday second baseman. The Denver Post reports that his new strategy is seeking insight from the man he hopes to turn double-plays with this season, SS Troy Tulowitzki. “I am going to need a few weeks to get used to second. And I will talk to Tulo a lot about my positioning. He knows the league,’’ Lopez said. “And we need to get comfortable together on double plays.” More specifically, Lopez needs to work on his backhand because he favors quick throws. “Quick, quick, quick. That’s what I want,’’ Lopez said. “I am looking forward to working with Tulo (after practice).”
