White Sox SP Gavin Floyd pitched 6 2/3 innings on Thursday, allowing six runs off 10 hits in a 6-1 loss to the Twins. The right-hander gave up one run in each of the first three innings before settling down a bit. Then in the seventh, Floyd pitched around Joe Mauer, to get to Jason Kubel. Floyd got ahead of Kubel, but on his 125th pitch, Floyd hung a curve that Kubel hit over the left-field wall to give the Twins a 6-1 lead. He struck out seven and walked three while earning his first loss since July 16.
