Chicago Cubs pitcher Matt Garza was hit in the lower back by a line drive Friday and stayed in the game for two more batters before leaving. Garza was struck by Jeff Francoeur's liner with one out in the second inning against Kansas City. After manager Mike Quade and a trainer came out to check on him, Garza retired the next two batters.
