Cordero escapes with 14th save

Posted in Fantasy Baseball by DuckSnort 2 days ago (
Reds closer Francisco Cordero stranded the tying runner at second base in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to secure his 14th save in a 3-2 win against the Dodgers. Cordero had trouble closing the door on the Dodgers, who recorded two stolen bases in the ninth and cut the deficit to one on James Loney's RBI single. But Cordero got Rod Barajas to pop out to end the threat. Cordero was charged with one run on one hit and one walk, while striking out one.
