The Diamondbacks recalled reliever Blaine Boyer from Triple-A on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
Our View
Boyer was DFAed in mid-May and then cleared through waivers before accepting his assignment to Triple-A. He pitched very well while in the minors and the desperate D-Backs have decided to give him another chance. They have a 7.19 bullpen ERA this season, so Boyer can't be much worse than that. Saul Rivera was DFAed as a result.
