They say that like attracts like, but this is ridiculous:

_

The coincidental collision took place in the fifth inning of the game between the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday with the baseball-seeking baseball coming off the bat of Braves' first baseman Freddie Freeman.

Given that the rest of the party patrons in Tropicana Field's 162 landing had beans made of breakable bone, it's a good thing — and also extremely hilarious — that Freeman's drive found the only dome made out of foam.

And let's be honest. Isn't it also possible that "Homer" had it coming? For years, the Braves mascot has been best known for being a not-so-clever ripoff of Mr. Met (only with an uglier schnoz). While it's easy to see why someone would want to imitate the top mascot in all of sport — or so Forbes reports — it's about time that someone took Homer to task for his charade.

So was Freeman working on his own? Or did Mr. Met turn him into a double agent after the Braves' recent trip to Citi Field. We'd really like to assume the former and that Freeman will soon go into full Reggie Jackson "Must kill the Queen" mode.

Get your own likeness, Homer!
