Clay Buchholz was rocked for the first time this spring giving up six runs on nine hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Tuesday. He allowed two home runs and struck out four.
Our View
After a no hitter in 2007 Buchholz looked like Boston's ace of the future, but last year the wheels came off and he struggled mightily with a 2-9 record and a bloated 6.75 ERA. He shouldn't be that bad again, but holds little value outside of deep AL-only leagues, assuming he cracks the Red Sox rotation.

Updating an earlier report, Gary Sheffield prefers to play for his home-town Rays after being released by the Tigers, according to the Tampa Tribune.
Our View
The Rays currently do not have any room for Sheffield though, who is one homer away from 500. The club is set at DH with Pat Burrell and there are no open spots in the outfield.

Rays SP Scott Kazmir, who had a rough time in his last start, allowed two runs on four hits over six innings Sunday in an 11-2 win over the Reds. Kazmir struck out five and walked two.
