The News Scott Sizemore underwent surgery on his fractured left ankle, according to the Associated Press. Our View A surgeon inserted screws to stabilize Sizemore's ankle joint. He will have the screws removed in January and is expected to be good to go for the start of spring training in February. He was named the Minor League Player of the Year in 2009, and should compete for the Tigers' starting gig at second base if Placico Polanco leaves in free agency. Read More
