New Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz indicated that he plans to reduce Devin Hester role on offense slightly so that Hester can focus more on special teams, according to Pro Football Talk. "It would be very difficult for [Hester] to play every snap on offense and still play effectively on special teams," Martz said.

Martz said that he envisions playing Hester in the slot, the same spot that he used Az-Zahir Hakim in back in his heyday with the Rams.
