The Jets have signed fullback John Conner, the team's fifth-round draft pick, to a four-year contract. Conner, nicknamed "The Terminator" because he shares the name of one of the main characters in the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, played in a school-record 53 games at Kentucky. He is expected to back up veteran fullback Tony Richardson this season.
