Updating an earlier report, Tyrus Thomas will undergo surgery Saturday to repair a fractured radius in his left forearm, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Thomas sustained the injury during a weightlifting session today. He is expected to be on the shelf for 4-6 weeks, and Taj Gibson will replace him in the lineup Saturday against the Bobcats.
