Joe Mauer: Mauer, who had been playing with hip flexor pain during the playoffs, was given a clean bill of health by doctors, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. The exam also found no problems with the sacroiliac joint in his back which caused him to miss the first month of the season when it became inflamed.
