As expected, retired slugger Mark McGwire has been named as the Cardinals' 2010 hitting coach, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Our View
Perhaps the greatest hitter of the "steroid era" will now join forces with the best hitter of the "post-steroid era." It should make for an interesting season, no doubt, and the famously clammy McGwire might end up doing more talking about the past than he, or the team, would like.
