Sebastien Ogier won five of Saturday's nine stages to take the lead after the second day of the Rally France. The Frenchman leads Daniel Sordo of Spain by 9.5 seconds. Petter Solberg of Norway was in third place, 51.9 seconds off the pace. Ogier could cut defending champion Sebastien Loeb's lead in the overall standings to one point if he wins the rally and Sunday's power stage.

Reigning world champion Sebastien Loeb retired during the third stage of the Rally France on Friday, giving his rivals a chance to cut his lead in the overall standings. Daniel Sordo of Spain won the eighth stage, finishing a second ahead of Petter Solberg of Norway after the opening day and put a Mini in the lead of a world championship rally for the first time.

Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. has been arrested on charges of drunken driving and reckless driving in New Mexico. Bernalillo County sheriff's spokeswoman Jennifer Brown confirmed that the 49-year-old was arrested Thursday morning in Albuquerque, where he lives. Authorities say Unser was drag racing another car in his Suburban and was going over 100 mph.
