American Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin reports he will speak with Tiger Woods next month at the PGA Championship to determine his interest in playing for the US team this season, according to the Associated Press.

Woods is seventh in Ryder Cup points as we stand today with the top eight getting spots. However, several surging golfers on hot on his heels (namely Ricky Barnes and Hunter Mahan) and there is a possibility Tiger would need a wild-card submission from the captain to make the team, and Pavin wants to see if he would be interested.
