Mavericks guard Jason Terry was benched during Friday's 107-96 win over the Clippers. With Dallas down 14 in the second quarter, Terry began barking at teammate Juan Jose Barea during a timeout. Coaches and players quickly stepped in to break up the skirmish and coach Rick Carlisle sent Terry to the other end of the bench. Team owner Mark Cuban spent the next timeout speaking to Terry aside from the rest of the club. He was the first one to the locker room at halftime and the last to return, missing the first few minutes of the second half. Terry did not play the rest of the game and refused to speak about the incident afterwards. "That's the most important thing to come out of this -- we got a win," Terry said. "It's an internal matter and it will remain an internal matter," Carlisle added. "Emotions run high and sometimes things happen and I'll leave it at that."
